years in Business

Since 1944

Delaneys Lawyers have been owned by the same family since 1944, celebrating over 78 years of continued legal services to Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Our Managing Partner, Tim Delaney, together with his brother Anthony Delaney, both share their grandfather’s and father’s passion for law as third generation legal experts

The firm of Feather Walker and Delaney was founded in 1944, the partners then being Mr J.J. Feather, Mr K.M. Walker and Mr J.T. Delaney.

Our Principals, Anthony and Tim Delaney are the grandsons of Jack Delaney, making Delaneys Lawyers the Gold Coast’s oldest law firm.

Both Mr Feather and Mr Walker passed on and the practice was carried on by Mr Delaney who remained senior partner until 1982. In the interim Mr Jack Delaney, received the Queen’s Honour of the Commander of the British Empire or otherwise known as a CBE.

Incorporated into the firm in 2008 was the firm Broadbent Radich Sampson Ziukelis Lawyers, a then well known and respected Gold Coast Law Firm.

Delaneys Lawyers currently act for a number of Public Companies, National Superannuation and Investment Trusts, large highrise and integrated resort developers as well as a number of individuals named in the BRW Richlist.
