Tim was initially appointed the Managing Partner of the firm in January 2001. He took over the Firm from his father, Gregory Delaney, who still remains with the Firm on a Consultancy Basis.
With his early legal practice experience in a large Brisbane firm, Tim has been able to integrate big firm professionalism, strategies and systems with the personal service of a boutique sized firm such as Delaneys.
Tim has practiced law since 1994 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia as a solicitor in 1996.
Tim has extensive experience in Property, Commercial and Corporate Law. Such areas include Property Developments, Conveyancing, Leasing, Business Acquisitions, Business Structuring, Insolvency, Asset Protection, Investment Trusts and Responsible Entities.
Tim also has vast experience in Commercial Litigation and takes great pride in his effective ‘out of the square’ strategies that protect his clients and their assets to ensure that the matter is resolved in the most cost effective fashion, that only 25 years of legal experience can bring.
Tim provides legal assistance for a number of Surf Life Saving Clubs and other not for profit organizations in South East Queensland.
Tim was one of the early Bond University graduates, being Australia’s most prestigious Law School. He is also an old boy of The Southport School also being one of Australia’s most prestigious and recognized private boys school.
With Tim’s business experience and vast contacts, many of which are Australia’s leading businessmen and CEOs, Tim is able to provide his clients assistance and advice that quite frankly, very few lawyers can offer, particularly on the Gold Coast.
Tim is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Surfing Lawyers Association, the Southport Yacht Club, the Gold Coast Turf Club, Tugun and Currumbin Surf Clubs and he also has a keen interest in Surfing, Golf, Rugby Union and Fishing.
